Cell phone

Dear Tomales High School Families,

As part of Shoreline Unified School District’s district-wide mobile device policy, Tomales High School will continue implementing clear expectations for student cell phone use during the instructional day.

At Tomales High School, all student cell phones must be turned in to their first-period teacher at the start of the school day. Phones will be stored in a safe and secure container with that teacher and returned to students at the end of the instructional day. Students may not keep their phones in lockers, backpacks, or vehicles.

To support our staff in carrying out this process, we need your help with two points of confirmation:

  1. If your student does not own a cell phone, please let us know by calling or emailing us

  2. If your student does own a cell phone but will be leaving it at home rather than bringing it to school, please let us know.

This information will help us provide accurate guidance to our staff and ensure a smooth daily routine for all students.

Please confirm by either:

Your partnership is essential in helping us create an environment free from distractions so students can focus fully on learning. Thank you for your cooperation and support in making this policy successful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,

Francisco Manriquez
Principal
